Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Educational Innovations and Research (IJEIR) is committed to upholding high standards of academic excellence through a rigorous and transparent peer review process. As a multidisciplinary journal, IJEIR accepts submissions from diverse areas of education and allied fields, ensuring that each manuscript receives critical and constructive evaluation by subject-matter experts before publication. The key stages of our peer review process are as follows:

Initial Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the IJEIR online submission system. The editorial office conducts an initial screening to ensure compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines, relevance to the journal’s multidisciplinary scope in education and research, and adherence to basic formatting and technical standards. Submissions that fail to meet these criteria may be returned for revision or rejected at this stage.

Editorial Screening

If a manuscript passes the initial check, the Editor-in-Chief or a designated Associate Editor evaluates its quality, originality, and alignment with the core focus of educational innovations and interdisciplinary research. Suitable manuscripts are forwarded for peer review, while others may be desk-rejected with feedback for the authors.

Double-Blind Peer Review

IJEIR follows a double-blind peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain fairness and objectivity. Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts from relevant educational fields. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on innovation, academic rigor, methodological soundness, clarity of expression, and contribution to contemporary educational discourse.

Reviewers’ Reports

Reviewers submit detailed evaluations and make one of the following recommendations:

  • Acceptance without revisions

  • Acceptance with minor revisions

  • Major revisions required

  • Rejection

Authors are required to address all reviewer comments comprehensively. In the case of conflicting reviews, the editorial team may consult a third expert.

Revisions

When revisions are requested, authors must resubmit the revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response to all reviewer feedback. The revised version may be re-assessed by the original reviewers to ensure that concerns have been adequately resolved.

Final Decision

Taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of revisions, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance, further revision, or rejection. Authors are promptly informed of the decision. Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production phase.

Publication

Once accepted, manuscripts undergo final copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading before online publication. IJEIR ensures prompt publication and provides immediate open access to all articles, supporting the broad dissemination of educational research and innovation.
