Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • If an author is facing any issues while submitting their paper through the submission tab, they can directly email it to editor@shimej.com
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file should be in one of the following formats: OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or LaTeX.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.3 line spacing; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors can submit their papers directly via email at editor@shimej.com if they face any difficulties with the online submission process. To ensure consistency and quality in the submissions to the International Journal of Science and Engineering Science Research, authors are required to follow the guidelines outlined below. These guidelines are designed to assist in preparing your manuscript for submission and to maintain the high standards of academic publishing.

1. Manuscript Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or LaTeX formats.
  • The manuscript must be in English, typed in a 12-point, Times New Roman font with 1.3 line spacing and 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • The title of the manuscript should be clear, concise, and relevant to the content.

2. Structure of the Manuscript

  • Title: Provide a clear and informative title for your manuscript.
  • Abstract: The abstract should be between 150-250 words, summarizing the research, key findings, and implications.
  • Keywords: List 4-6 keywords that represent the main topics of your article.
  • Introduction: Provide background information, research objectives, and an overview of the problem being addressed.
  • Methodology: Detail the methods used for research or analysis, ensuring clarity and reproducibility.
  • Results and Discussion: Present and interpret the results, discuss their implications, and compare with existing literature.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the findings, propose recommendations, and suggest areas for future research.
  • References: Use appropriate and consistent citation styles as outlined below.

3. Citation and References
Citations should follow one of the commonly accepted formats, such as APA, IEEE, or Chicago style. Below are examples of common citation formats:

  • Book:
    Author(s). Title of the Book. Edition (if applicable). Place of Publication: Publisher, Year.

  • Journal Article:
    Author(s). "Title of the Article." Title of the Journal, Volume Number, Issue Number (Year): Page Numbers.

  • Conference Paper:
    Author(s). "Title of the Paper." Proceedings of the [Conference Name], Location, Year, Pages.

4. Submission Process

  • Before submitting, ensure that your manuscript adheres to these formatting and bibliographic standards.
  • Authors must register with the journal before submitting their manuscript.
  • Once registered, log in to the submission portal and follow the five-step process.

5. Review and Ethics

  • All submissions are subject to peer review to ensure the quality and relevance of the research.
  • Authors must ensure that their work is original, and all sources of funding, conflict of interest, and ethical considerations are clearly disclosed.
