Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Science and Engineering Science Research (IJSESR) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic rigor through a thorough and transparent peer review process. Our system ensures that submitted manuscripts undergo critical and constructive evaluation by subject-matter experts before publication. The key steps in our peer review process are as follows:
Initial Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts via the IJSESR online submission system. The editorial office conducts an initial check for adherence to the journal’s submission guidelines, relevance to the journal’s scope in science and engineering, and basic technical requirements. Manuscripts not meeting these criteria may be returned to authors for revision or rejected outright.
Editorial Screening
If the manuscript passes the initial check, the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor performs a preliminary evaluation of its quality, novelty, and relevance to the fields of science and engineering. Manuscripts deemed appropriate proceed to the peer review stage. Those that do not may be desk-rejected with feedback provided to the authors.
Double-Blind Peer Review
IJSESR employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to promote impartiality. The manuscript is sent to at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers assess the work for originality, scientific relevance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and its contribution to the existing body of knowledge in science and engineering.
Reviewers’ Reports
Reviewers provide detailed and constructive feedback, along with their recommendations, which may include:
-
Acceptance without revisions
-
Acceptance with minor revisions
-
Major revisions required
-
Rejection
Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments thoroughly. In cases of conflicting reviews, an additional expert reviewer may be consulted.
Revisions
If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised version along with a point-by-point response to all reviewer comments. The revised manuscript may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers to confirm that concerns have been adequately addressed.
Final Decision
Based on the reviewers’ feedback and authors' revisions, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on the manuscript’s acceptance, further revision, or rejection. Authors are notified of the outcome, and if accepted, the manuscript proceeds to the publication stage.
Publication
Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes final copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading before being published online. IJSESR ensures timely publication and offers open access to all articles immediately upon release.
